Supportive, Professional Care For Your Body

Sandra Cina, RMT, Owner/Operator

Sandra graduated of the Sutherland Chan School and Teaching Clinic where she gained clinical experience working with a variety of clients and conditions. Her experience includes high-risk pregnancy massage, post-surgical breast cancer patients, lymphatic drainage and scar work, and musculoskeletal issues. She has been registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario since 2016. She started her career at Spring Wellness Clinic and was happy to take over ownership and operations in February 2018.

Sandra is dedicated to providing care and promoting well being through therapeutic massage and patient education. She believes a good practitioner is attentive and a thoughtful listener.

Services offered: Therapeutic Massage, Perinatal Massage, TMJ Intraoral Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Cupping Therapy.

Note: Sandra is fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Therapeutic Massage: Using techniques including Swedish, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, stretching and hot and cold therapies among others, therapeutic massage involves the direct manipulation of the soft tissues and joints. Massage can have many benefits including helping to manage pain, prevent or rehabilitate injury and promote general wellness.

Prenatal Massage: Your body undergoes many physiological changes during the pre and postnatal periods. Prenatal massage is targeted to help you manage the pain and discomfort that might come along with these changes. We make a few positioning changes to accommodate and support the pregnant body to make sure you are comfortable throughout your treatment.

TMJ Intraoral Massage: Massage focused on the muscles of the jaw (the temporomandibular joint) and face both externally and intraorally (from the inside of the mouth). It is effective in helping to manage pain and discomfort that may result from injury, grinding of the teeth or clenching of the jaw.

Cupping Therapy: Cupping is a technique that can positively affect the nervous system and help with pain management. A vacuum seal is applied through the cups which can help lift tissue layers, increase the permeability of tissues and promote local blood flow.

Lymphatic Drainage: A deeply relaxing, gentle massage technique that is applied to the skin in a specific sequence. It may assist in the reduction of edema which can result from injury or surgery by manually stimulating the lymphatic system. Please note that Lymphatic Drainage does not reduce the presence or appearance of cellulite.

Policies

As a solo practitioner, my livelihood is totally based on treatment fees. Because of this, and to ensure that appointments are available for those who need them, I adhere strictly to the following polices without exception:

Cancellation & No Show Policy: No shows and appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice are are charged the full appointment fee which will be charged to your card on file. Fees for late cancellations or no shows must be paid in full before booking any future appointments.

Late Arrival Policy: Your appointment is held especially for you. In order to respect other patient’s schedules, if you arrive late, I am unable to extend your appointment time. If your late arrival impacts your treatment time, the full fee of the original appointment booking will still be charged.

Treatment Time: Your appointment starts when we first enter the treatment room together, not when the hands-on portion of the treatment begins. As a regulated health care provider, it is my duty to ensure your care is safe and effective. Your initial visit includes a discussion of your reason for treatment, detailed health history, an outline of your treatment plan, informed consent, assessment, treatment and self-care recommendations. To ensure you receive adequate hands-on time, we recommend booking no less than 45 minutes for your initial appointment. Subsequent visits include a short consult, informed consent, assessment, treatment and self-care recommendations.
